Level of Discipleship Band of the Continuum Supervising Initiate Outcome
Cosmic Hierarchical Attunement Third through Fifth Cosmic Initiations Cosmic Master Ascension of the Astral Soul through the entire Cosmic Sphere. Ability to guide and translate the Astral Souls of others.
Supracosmic Cosmic Sphere through the highest Plane of a Supracosmic Path Guru Mastery of a Supracosmic Path. Ability to guide others in that Path.
Transcendental Transcendental Paths 1 through 7 Sat Guru Mastery of a Transcendental Path. Ability to guide others in that path.
Multiplane Mastery
(accepted discipleship in the Mudrashram® tradition)
Subtle, Planetary, Transplanetary, Cosmic, Supracosmic, and Transcendental Adi Sat Guru Mastery of spiritual evolutionary potentials of Subtle through Supracosmic and one of the Transcendental Paths. Ability to guide and initiate on behalf of the Mudrashram® lineage, adopting the form of the disciple on the Bridge Path.
Multiplane Mastery
(advanced discipleship in the Mudrashram® tradition)
Subtle, Planetary, Transplanetary, Cosmic, Supracosmic, and Transcendental Adi Sat Guru Ascension on the Bridge Path, leading to the ability to engage in "Bodhisattva Projects" (3) and ultimately to become a Multiplane Master.

Discipleship in each of levels these leads ultimately to empowerment and the ability to minister to others or guide them.

As can be seen, accepted discipleship in the Mudrashram® tradition requires the most extensive spiritual preparation of any level of discipleship. However, attainment of accepted discipleship in this tradition has a broader range of operation and ministry than traditions that yield mastery in other bands of the Great Continuum of Consciousness.

Expressions of Accepted Discipleship

There are seven expressions of accepted discipleship in the Mudrashram® tradition once the disciple on the path has worked out karma and unfolded spiritual evolutionary potentials for Subtle, Planetary, Transplanetary, Cosmic, Supracosmic, and Transcendental bands of the Great Continuum of Consciousness. These are shown below.

Type of Expression Activity Comment
Initiator Ability to activate the energies of the seven mudras (4) and to teach and initiate in the Mudrashram® tradition. This is the basic form of accepted discipleship. This allows an individual to teach the Mudrashram® Master Course in Meditation and to give the seven higher attunements (5) of this class. This mastery must be gained first in accepted discipleship. With further spiritual development, one or more of these other types may be added to this basic form.
Mouthpiece Ability to channel the guidance and teachings of the Multiplane Masters of the Mudrashram® lineage through spoken and written words. George A. Boyd has assumed this activity on behalf of the lineage.
Gifted One Augmentation of a talent or gift to be used for service to others and to the lineage. This activates and enhances gifts anchored in the Superconscious mind. (6)
Guide Ability to assume a guide form for the spirit and the attentional principle, and to guide and protect others on the inner Planes. This attunement is required to teach the Mudrashram® Advanced Course in Meditation
Service Project Ability to carry out a structured mission on behalf of the lineage. This might take the form, for example, of communicating lineage teachings, or establishing institutions or centers.
Spiritual Ministry Ability to minister the Light to others from a variety of spiritual platforms. In this aspect of spiritual ministry, the attentional principle works from one or more forms of Mastery on the inner Planes. In more advanced stages, it may send out these spiritual attunements from several forms of Mastery simultaneously.
Bodhisattva Project Ability to assume karma from the universal reservoir and to consciously work it off using transformational methods. This spiritual work is done on the highest Plane of the Bridge Path (7). Multiplane Masters use this method to develop their mantle of Mastery.

Those aspirants that feel resonance with our teachings and meditation methods can study with us to begin to develop themselves at their cutting edge of spirituality, wherever they dwell on the Great Continuum of Consciousness.

We start with individuals where they are and develop them to fulfill the archetypes of purpose and mastery within them. Rare individuals may have a calling to accepted discipleship in our tradition—these ones will become initiators, and may express other varieties of accepted discipleship with further spiritual development upon the Bridge Path.

The Higher Path of Discipleship

In our Satsang Program and the Mudrashram® Advanced Course in Meditation, we have described the form of the disciple on the Bridge Path, which marks the stage of accepted discipleship in our tradition. In both of these programs, we have led course participants into the presence of this exalted state of consciousness. Beyond this abode of the accepted disciple are the Adi Sat Gurus—the Multiplane Masters of the Mudrashram® Lineage—separated by a vast distance from the accepted disciple.

Until now, this higher path of discipleship has not been elucidated in our public writings. We call it the Transcendental Initiatic Path leading to Multiplane Mastery, which comprises the higher stages of the Bridge Path.

The Bridge Path is unique in that it is a domain in the Transcendental Sphere that reaches from the 3rd Cosmic Initiation through the entire Supracosmic Sphere, then traverses deeply into the Transcendental Sphere underneath the other seven Transcendental Paths. It mirrors development in the paths above and below it. It is on the Transcendental portion of this path that the Mudrashram® Lineage is anchored. These higher states of initiation are as follows:

Title of Attainment State of Mastery
Mahatma Attunement to the First Five Planes of the 7th Transcendental Path
Subud Master Attunement to the First Seven Planes of the 1st Transcendental Path
Sadhu Attunement to the Origin of the 1st Transcendental Path
Shabd Master Attunement to the Universal Mind of the 2nd Transcendental Path
SatGuru Attunement to the Origin of the 2nd Transcendental Path
Will-Merged Attunement to the Transcendental Hierarchy of the 7th Transcendental Path
Perfect Master Attunement to the Origin of the 3rd Transcendental Path
Maharaj Attunement to the First Seven Planes of the 4th Transcendental Path
Trinity-Merged Attunement to the Origin of the 4th Transcendental Path
Mahdis Attunement to the 5th Plane of the 5th Transcendental Path
Mahanta Attunement to the 12th Plane of the 5th Transcendental Path
Dharma Lord Attunement to and Mastery of the Entire Continuum from the Origin of the 5th Transcendental Path to the Wheel of Time [The Wheel of Time Center is at the root of all states of consciousness. These centers below waking awareness are Wheel of Time, Center within the Mineral Kingdom, Center within the Plant Kingdom, Center within the Animal Kingdom, unconscious state of death, unconscious state of coma, unconscious state of sound sleep, vivid and dreaming state, and light, hypnotic dreaming state.]
Adi Sat Guru Mastery of Ensoulment and Incarnation of the spirit in multiple Domains [One assumes the ability to act as a Multiplane Master at Hansadesh on the Mirror of the Continuum. Hansadesh located on the 3rd Plane of the 2nd Transcendental Path.]
Bodhisattva Path Taking on karma of multitudes and working out Bodhisattva projects [Bodhisattva projects open a discrete path with an aim to gain understanding, Grace, and Mastery.]
Finding Your Place

We encourage you to gain a thorough familiarity with the entire Great Continuum of Consciousness and your place within it.

Ladders of disciplic and initiatic stages are useful to comprehend potential spiritual development, but more important is that you identify your own spiritual cutting edge and begin transformational inner work at that level according to your capacity. Eventually, through continuous gradual transformation, you will fulfill the spiritual destiny pattern that is your Soul Purpose.

A rare few individuals may have a destiny for accepted discipleship in our lineage, and to ascend upon the initiatic ladder we described here to full Multiplane Mastery. Those of you who have this calling will have this revealed to you by your own Soul when you study with us.

Endnotes
  1. These seven civilizations whose archetypes are anchored on the Middle band of the Subtle Realm are the East Indian, Chinese, Greco-Roman, Mesopotamian, Medieval European, Tibetan, and Modern Technological. You may learn more about them by referring to the map of the Great Continuum of Consciousness on this web site.
  2. The Moon Soul is a nucleus of identity, which is often mistaken for the overshadowing Soul. It resembles a round white disk, in which there is a central receptacle. The Holy Spirit is anchored in this receptacle during communion with God through prayer, worship, or Light Immersion. This nucleus of identity is traditionally awakened during the First Planetary Initiation.
  3. Bodhisattva Projects take place on the highest Planes of the Bridge Path, and sometimes on Transcendental Paths six and seven. Bodhisattva Projects are the most advanced forms of attunement with the Mudrashram® lineage, and lead ultimately to assumption into the lineage as a lineage holder, or Adi Sat Guru.
  4. These seven mudras used to transmit initiation in the Mudrashram® tradition are Kundalini, Nada, Mantra, Raja, Guru Kripa, Jnana and Agni Mudras. An eighth mudra, Dharma Mudra, is "revealed" to the aspirant during the Mudrashram® Master Course in Meditation, but does not involve transmission of the energy of initiation (Shakti). You can learn more about the role of these mudras in Integral meditation by reading our article, "What is Integral Meditation, also on this web site.
  5. These "seven higher attunements" are the seven mudras. These seven higher attunements are decribed in the article, "The Form of the Disciple." Before you can learn to give the higher attunements, you first must be trained in the five basic attunements. You can learn more about the five basic attunements in the article, "The Five Fundamental Attunements."
  6. There is a wide range of gifts that express from the Superconscious mind. These may take the form of athletic prowess; scientific research and innovation; artistic creativity; business acumen; special abilities in counseling, therapy, teaching, healing, or religious ministry; psychic perception; or political or military leadership. Miraculous powers (siddhis) may also be expressed in some individuals as a byproduct of their spiritual development.
  7. This highest Plane of the Bridge Path is a mirror of the Great Continuum of Consciousness from the bands of the human personality (Conscious, Subconscious, and Metaconscious mind) and the Superconscious mind from the Subtle realm to the top of the Fifth Transcendental Path. It is referred to as Adi Sat Guru Desh or Nubiya.
